A Commitment
He asked and I said yes.
Ok I know that you want more information then that. He came over one night to pick me up for dinner out. Before we left he handed my a gift. I thought ok here it is the ring. It was not the ring, it was earrings.
They were beautiful and I love them. I thought it was really sweet of him to buy me earrings that were white gold. I know nice earrings. I put them on with my outift and we headed into town to a cute little Italian Restraunt that Matt had come across. It was great! The atmosphere was so much fun and the food was fabulous. We talked and laughed and had a wonderful time together. On the way home Matt turned on music, it was Harry Connick Jr. one of my favorite big band jazz singers. We relaxed as the music played and talked a little. At my parents house we went inside and I went to the kitchen to make coffee, since it was late and Matt would still need to drive home. Matt came in behind me and gave me a hug from behind. I smiled and once done looked over my shoulder at him. He spun me around and then went down to one knee. I could not believe that it was actually happening. He was asking me to marry him. It was beautiful! (the asking) I said yes and we hugged. We then headed into the living room to share the news with my parents, who were waiting axiously. They had known he was going to ask and were waiting to see us both really excited and then celebrate with us. We went back to the living room hugs all around and celebrated with bubbly grape juice. I was so excited. I was now officially engaged to Matt.
